This past week, Jack Hodson, received the Head Custodian Spotlight Award. Jack has been a custodian in our district for 40 years! He began at Roy High in 1977 as a General Custodian and Asst. Head Custodian. He then moved to H. Guy Child as Head Custodian. He has worked at Green Acres, Rocky Mountain Jr. and then Fremont High in 2001. Jack continues to serve Fremont and our district!
We congratulate Jack on this amazing accomplishment and we are honored to have him as part of our team here at the Weber School District!
Pearltrees is a web tool, iOS/Android app, and browser extension to categorize, curate and visualize bookmarks. The bookmarks turn up as thumbnails on a board. Teachers and students can move them around and name their boards of thumbnails.
The History Engine is an educational tool that gives students the opportunity to learn history by doing the work -- researching, writing, and publishing -- of a historian. The result is an ever-growing collection of historical articles or "episodes" that paints a wide-ranging portrait of life in the United States throughout its history.
Developing customer satisfaction and loyalty is the focus of the Customer Service course. The students will gain an understanding of the skills, attitudes, and thinking patterns needed to win customer satisfaction and loyalty. Learn and refine tasks necessary for success in the service industry. Work with local businesses and prepare for job opportunities. Develop service strategies, refine service skills, and gain experience to calmly aid customers in decision making. Students taking marketing classes should have the opportunity to participate in the DECA organization (student marketing leadership association). DECA-related activities and curricula can be used as an approved part of all marketing classes.
This course provides the student with an understanding of basic marketing principles and training for entry-level job positions in the exciting, constantly changing fields of advertising and promotion. Students will experience different advertising methods to reach target audiences including, newspaper, radio, TV, Internet, mail, outdoor and special promotion events. Specific skills will help students to create, produce, and effectively evaluate different advertising and promotional strategies. Students taking marketing classes have the opportunity to participate in the DECA Organization. DECA related activities and curriculum can be used as an approved part of all marketing classes.
