This year-long course is designed to create an awareness of the branch of health science relating to medical forensics. This course focuses on introductory skills and assessment in order to develop the ability to identify, analyze, and process logically using deductive reasoning and problem solving. Medical forensics involves many aspects of health science instruction including laboratory skills and safety, microscopy, toxicology, measurement, physical evidence identification, pathology, anthropology, entomology, psychology, blood spatter analysis, and career exploration.

For students interested in a career in fashion. This introduction includes fashion cycles, leaders, textiles, apparel details, color, designs, fashion history, retailing and promotion.
This course introduces students intermediate techniques associated with sewing, serging, and pressing equipment and reviews the types of fabric construction. Students will be able to make an intermediate level project using correct construction techniques. Student leadership (FCCLA) may be an integral part of this course.
This course is designed for students who have interests in the fields of design, apparel, textiles, and clothing construction. Individual projects using design principles will be used as vehicles to further develop the students’ skills. Experiences may include pattern design, surface design, principles of clothing construction, fitting and alteration, custom sewing, home decorating, and other entrepreneurial opportunities.
This course prepares individuals to perform the duties of police and public security officers, including patrol and investigative activities, traffic control, crowd control, public relations, witness interviewing, evidence collection and management, court procedures and the law in general. Basic crime prevention methods, weapon and equipment operation, equipment maintenance, and other routine law enforcement responsibilities are also included.
This course is for those students interested in law enforcement careers or students desiring General Education credit at Weber State.
