This full-year course provides students with an in-depth study of health care careers including actual clinical experience in a variety of areas. Instruction includes intermediate anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, diseases and disorders, medical ethics and first aid. The class is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Health Science course and/or for a variety of health technology programs.
Advanced drafting is the third step in understanding the application required to produce a workable drawing. Good sketching techniques should be emphasized when preparing to start a working drawing. Drawings that are assigned should complement the competency and require the student to solve problems, not just copy.
This semester course is designed to create an awareness of career possibilities in health care and inform students of the educational options available for health science and health technology programs. Instruction includes beginning anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical ethics, diseases, and disorders. The course prepares students for the Medical Anatomy/Physiology course and/or for a variety of health technology programs.
Note: Students must complete the full year (1.0 credit) to receive the Health credit.
This is the first instructional course in a sequence of courses that prepares individuals to develop technical knowledge and skills required to plan and prepare scale pictorial interpretations of engineering and design concepts. This includes instruction in the use of 2D/3D CAD software, sketching, drawing layout, geometric construction, orthographic projection, and dimensioning.
This full-year course is designed to teach students components of exercise science/sports medicine; including exploration of therapeutic careers, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, first aid, injury prevention principles, the healing process, rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic modalities, sport nutrition, sport psychology and performance enhancement philosophies.
This is a course that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skill to maintain and repair small internal-combustion engines used on portable power equipment, such as lawnmowers, chain saws, rotary tillers, motorcycles, ATV vehicles, and snowmobiles. Work ethics, productivity, and safety are an integral part of the classroom and laboratory activities of these classes.

This year-long course is designed to create an awareness of the branch of health science relating to medical forensics. This course focuses on introductory skills and assessment in order to develop the ability to identify, analyze, and process logically using deductive reasoning and problem solving. Medical forensics involves many aspects of health science instruction including laboratory skills and safety, microscopy, toxicology, measurement, physical evidence identification, pathology, anthropology, entomology, psychology, blood spatter analysis, and career exploration.

A program with a sequence of courses that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to plan, manufacture, assemble, and test products, using machine shop and CNC processes. These courses are based on the state machine shop task list.

This semester course provides students with advanced emergency medical information and skills. The course introduces students to a variety of career options in emergency medicine.
Note: Possible certifications with the American Red Cross (ARC) are: CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Responder.
